One of the future directions we want to explore is active control using the MESPI/JSE phenomenon. The experiments show that minor geometric changes in the nozzle shape can induce large changes in the jet plume. This property can be exploited further by actively controling the nozzle shape, thus inducing instability modes to which the jet flow is most susceptible.
